Holiday Gift Guide for Your Dog! 18 Christmas Gift Ideas for Dogs

If you’re anything like me you likely spoil your dog year round, so when it comes to the holiday season, finding the perfect gift for your furry friend can be tricky. The good boys and girls in our lives deserve the best presents! Don’t leave them out of the unwrapping fun on Christmas morning. If you’re stumped on gift ideas for your pup this year, you’re in the right place. Today I’m sharing 18 Christmas gift ideas for dogs.

1. Subscription Box

Give them the gift that keeps on giving year round with a subscription box for dogs! There are plenty on the market for all types of canine personalities. Some of my personal favorites include Bark Box, Dapper Dog Box, and Kong Box

2. Benebone

I cannot say enough good things about Benebone. Their dog bones are mine and my pups absolute favorite and I give her a new one for every holiday! They come in multiple shapes and flavors from fish bone to wish bone, so you’re bound to find one your dog will love. For Christmas this year I purchased the Benebone multipack that comes with 4 of their most popular Benebone shapes in one box!

3. Whimzees

Whimzees are a dog dental chew that comes in a variety of fun shapes like hedgehogs and alligators! The minimal ingredients make me feel good about giving them to my pup and the unique shapes and textures help remove plaque from her teeth.

4. Fresh Barks

Okay, this one may be more for us dog owners than our furry friends. But even if aren’t necessarily thrilled about it, it’ll benefit their health in the long run! 80% of dogs will suffer from oral health issues at some point in their lives, and Freshbarks dog toothbrush and enzymatic toothpaste can put a stop to that before it starts. The dual headed toothbrush makes it easy to reach all of your pups teeth and the flavored toothpaste will hopefully encourage your dog to tolerate it just a little bit.

5. Gourmet Dog Treats

Regular dog biscuits can get boring, so treat your pup to the holiday gift of gourmet dog treats! Earlier this year I got to test out Lucy Blue’s Barkery and her homemade treats were a huge hit with my pup! Another great company for gourmet treats is Wufers.

6. Dog Puzzle

Mental stimulation is just as important as physical stimulation when it comes to exercising your pup. Dog puzzles are a great way to give them something that will challenge their brain. They’re perfect for when you need to keep your dog busy for a period of time and also great for feeding fast eaters!

7. Chuck It! Bucket

Do you have a fetch fiend in your home? The Chuck It! bucket is an awesome gift for dogs who love playing catch or fetch! The bucket contains 8 Chuck It! Balls which are made with durable material that is designed to be safe on a dogs mouth. They’re easy to wash off and built to last making them the perfect balls for destructive dogs.

8. Orthopedic Dog Bed

Spoil your dog with a brand new, orthopedic bed this year. This is a perfect gift for older dogs or dogs suffering from arthritis. The winter months are meant for cuddling indoors, so a brand new, comfy bed makes a great Christmas gift for your pup.

9. Goody Box

I love everything about Chewy but their Goody Boxes are on the top of that list for sure. Chewy Goody Boxes are a themed box filled with toys, treats, and a bandana. They have boxes designed for puppies, older dogs, and even holiday boxes! I already purchased the Christmas themed box for my dog this year and she was so thrilled to see what was inside.

10. Sweaters

If you have a small dog or a dog with a short coat, sweaters are a must during the cold months. Spoil them this holiday season with some cute new sweaters or jackets! They come in a huge variety from hoodies to puffer coats to knit sweaters. Not only will your pup be the most fashionable dog on the block, they’ll be cozy and warm as well.

11. Fish Skins

Dehydrated fish skins are the perfect gift for dogs who love to chew. These treats are single ingredient, full of healthy omega 3’s, and won’t damage your pups teeth.

12. Personalized Treat Jar

If your dog has a never ending supply of treats, a personalized treat jar is a great Christmas gift idea for them this year! You can find them all over Etsy and while your dog may not appreciate how cute it is, you and your guests sure will.

13. Spa Supplies

Treat your pup to a new brush, shampoo, or other spa supplies for Christmas this year! They’ll be sure to go into the New Year with new found confidence after a brush and blow out with some new grooming supplies.

14. Blanket

A fluffy, warm blanket is a great gift for dogs who already have a super nice bed! You can even take it a step further and get it personalized. This is a great way to spice up their crate, bed, or other favorite sleeping spot.

15. Personalized Dog Bowl

Personalized dog bowls are so cute and the ultimate gift for the most bougie pups.

16. Yeti Dog Bowl

Is your dog a cold water snob? Yeti makes a dog bowl that is designed to keep their water cold for hours. This is great for dogs living in warmer clients or who spend a lot of time outside in the summer months! You can even put ice in the bowl without worrying about it melting right away!

17. Raw Bones

Dogs cannot eat cooked bones and should never be given rawhide. However, raw bones are great for dogs teeth and make a great treat for dogs who like to chew. Go to your local butcher to buy the bones so you can ensure they’re safely sourced.

Note: always keep an eye on your dog when they’re chewing on bones as they are a choking hazard.

18. Lick Mats

Lick mats are an awesome way to get your dog some mental enrichment. They can be used for full meals or just as treats. They’re great for keeping your dog entertained and happy. Plus there are an endless amount of topping options. Check out my list of 35 toppings for your dogs lick mat for ideas!
