Who says holiday themed crafts are just for kids?? I don’t know about you, but as a dog mom I very much consider my pups to be my fur children which means they get to participate in all of the holiday fun- even crafts! Today, I’m sharing a fun Halloween craft you can do with your dog!

Halloween Craft to Do With Your Dog

Hand print crafts are all the rave in daycares and kindergarten classrooms across the world, so I decided to take a fun canine friendly twist on the traditional hand print jack-o-lantern, by using my dogs paw print!

Supplies:

For this craft you’ll only need 4 materials:

How to Make a Halloween Craft With Your Dog

To start, draw a jack-o-lantern on your card stock paper, and design it however you’d like! I chose to make mine with paw print eyes to fit the doggy theme but this is your opportunity to be creative so feel free to make whatever type of face you please.

Next, paint or color your jack-o-lantern! Don’t forget the stem!

Finally, grab your fur child and get to work painting their paw. You can also use a green ink pad for this, which might be a little less messy. However, I only had paint on hand so that’s what I used. Be sure to fully coat the bottom of their paw in the green paint or ink before stamping it down on your picture. Their paw print will act as the leaves on the pumpkin stem!

And that’s it! Now you have an adorable, spooky craft made by you and your pup! Be sure to add their name and the year 😉
